In the Anglo-Saxon culture, it is usual to donate to NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. Goodwill Italia, coming form USA, would like to increase the "donate culture" in Italy as well. While we are waiting for the total deduction for donations, Goodwill would like to remind you of the current regulations.

TAX DEDUCTIONS FOR DONATIONS TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

Goodwill italia is a NO-PROFIT ORGANIZATION regularly recognized by the Italian Government. As far as the annual tax return, for private donors and companies, it is possible to receive a tax deduction from the donations made up to a 10% of the total income; to the maximum extent of € 70.000 per year (art. 14 Italian Law 14/05/2005 - 180). Alternatively, it is still possible to consider the previous regulamentation:

FOR PRIVATES DONORS − the possibility to deduct the 19% out of the total amount donated from IRPEF − up to a maximum of € 2.065,83;
FOR COMPANIES − the possibility to deduct for donations the 2% of the income declared.

Donate in Italy, beside being a great choice on the social and moral side, it is also convenient in an economical sense. Goodwill will use the donations to support new projects as well as the current ones, focusing on the growth of the Italian society.

What is 5 per mille?

5 X MILLE offers the opportunity to donate the 0,5 as far as taxes of the personal income as a contribution for a NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. This regulation was defined from the Italian Government on the 20th of January 2006 to support the community organization. The decision was already valid for the incomes of 2005.

If I underwrite the 5 per mille, will I pay more taxes?

No, the taxpayer will pay the IRPEF Tax and no more extra money. It is the government that gives that 0,5 for solidarity purposes only.

What are the entities that will receive the 5 per mille?

They are: the voluntary organization, the association of social promotion, foundations, institutions that do scientific researches, the universities and the district of residence of the taxpayers. Goodwill Italia, as a non-profit organization is an accredited institution of Agenzia delle Entrate and that's why can be included in the 5 per mille.

What do I have to do to donate the 5 per mille to a specific entity?

It's necessary to sign on the very first paper of the tax return (CUD, MOD 730 or Modello UNICO) and write the tax code of the organization you would like to support.To support the Goodwill Italia Onlus projects it's necessary to sign on the first box to the left dedicated to the associations and write the following tax code: 97212420588 Example of filling in of the 730

Can I give my 5 per mille to two organizations?

No, only one choice is allowed.

If I choose the 5 per mille can I still give my contribution with 8 per mille?

Yes, the choice of 5 per mille is in addition to the 8 per mille. It is possible to choose both without any extra and additional taxes.

The realization of the Goodwill italia Onlus projects depends on the economical support and on the goods received. Goods donations can help Goodwill Italian Onlus to support our projects for persons with disabilities , youth and adults that are disadvantaged and located in areas of discomfort (hospitals, prisons, communities, region).

Death is only the beginning of the second half (Lucio Dalla singer and songwriter).

Donation of good to an entity that helps others, means that we still want to continue loving even after our physical death. The memory of a person can become immortal because he or she has left this world with a gesture of solidarity that might change the life of somebody less well-off than yourself. To the good donated will be given the name of the donator and it will be exposed on a plauge outside and inside the building. Help us to help to increase the social condition.
